SC4 Ltd is a Family run quality critical supplier to the Steel industry. Based in North Lincolnshire, they are ideally located with excellent transport links to the entire country. The original company of Steel Centre 4 ltd has been trading since 1983 having been set up originally by Edwin Eddy, in the very same premises.
Ongoing investment has seen the purchase of additional land, warehouses and the latest machinery to provide the UK's only Independent Steel Processing Centre, offering a one stop shop for all steel processing and fabrication needs, from supply, straightening, CNC sawing and drilling right down to shot blasting, painting and delivery. With a management system approved to ISO 9001:2008 you can be confident of a quality service everytime.
Being independent means they can obtain best prices for supply of steel, however this also means they are able to work on free issue material supplied by the customer.
Straightening to 1;1000 is offered and with 5 presses ranging from 80 to 400 tonnes capacity with the ability to handle 25m long material most customer requirements can be accommodated.
Cold sawing to "+or-" 1mm is available utilising the latest band saw machines and electronic measuring system. Lengths up to 25m can be safely handled.
Sawing and Drilling We operate a Kaltenbach KBS1301/KDX1215 close coupled Sawing & Drilling line with hard stamping facility
The machine is programmed using our customers supplied Cam / Dstv data.
The system is fully CNC controlled but can also be programmed manually.

Sections from 80mm wide up to 1200mm wide (maximum height 400mm)
Hole sizes from 8mm up to 40mm (max)
Mitre cutting range up to 60° Degrees
SC4's unique cold separation and patented straightening process offers virtually distortion free structural tees and other split sections, with no HAZ or martinsitic layer. All split sections are straightened to tighter than BS4 tolerances. Sections up to 1000mm wide by 500mm high and 25m long can be split. Material to be split can be either on a free issue basis, or supplied by SC4 with all relevant certification.
Piling services offered include the fabrication of junction and corner piles as well as the pairing and welding of all BS Piling Section including Straightening. Piles can be paired over 25m in length.
Shot Blasting We offer shotblasting to SA 2.5 on a full range of sections up to 22 metres, along with....
Primer Painting to 20 microns DFT.
Fabrication We offer full structural fabrication, carried out by time served craftsmen - welders fully coded & operating under established welding procedures. From simple Fabrication to fully assembled structures. Our Fabrication department has been open since 2003 and continues to grow.
Temporary steelwork ... CHS props up to 30m in length and 1500mm diameter can be supplied and fabricated, along with gallows brackets or drilled endplates to suit.
Walings from rolled UB (double, triple or quadruple) and plate girders up to 30m can be fully fabricated and supplied.
Plate Girders ... in lengths up to 30m can be supplied as a bare carcass or fully fabricated.
Plunge Columns ... sourced from rolled UB/UC or as plated columns up to 30m in length. Fully bolted splice connections to enable longer lengths if required.
