The Herculean Beam – Crawley Leisure Centre

SC4 manufactured the Herculean beams using our 3D plasma profiling robot, before fabricating and welding the carcasses in house. Cellular beams allow services to pass through openings in the beam web, helping to make efficient use of the available building space and supporting the integration of building services within the roof structure.

By supplying our own Herculean beams and carrying out the profiling and fabrication in house, SC4 was able to manage the manufacturing process directly and respond to the project’s tight turnaround.
