At SC4 we take our legal requirements extremely seriously and would like to assure our customers that we are committed to meeting legal and CE compliance regulations.

In response to growing enquiries regarding the Construction Products Directive and structural steels we would like to confirm the following:-Structural steels supplied to BS EN 10025-2:2004/BS EN 10210:-1:2006/BS EN 10219-1:2006 are not manufactured by our business but are processed and distributed by us. All material ordered to these standards (with a harmonised standard) will be supplied from mills with the correct Notified Body accreditations and with the level of certification requested at the time of enquiry and order.

As you would expect, SC4 holds internationally recognised quality management approvals to BS EN ISO 9001:2015.

Our quality management system is monitored and regularly reviewed both internally and by SCCS. This stringent auditing ensures it remains appropriate for our business and is successful in continually improving our business performance and the level of service we provide to our customers. Our comprehensive Quality Management System is overseen by our Managing Director and regularly reviewed both internally and by independent assessors. We also monitor and respond positively to customer feedback on an ongoing basis. These activities help us ensure that we are continually improving our business performance and the service we provide to our customers.

SC4 have been issued a Factory Production Control Certificate and a Welding Certificate to EXC 4 by Steel Construction Certificate Scheme Limited (SCCS) (Cert 2273-CPR-0069) to BS EN 1090-2:2008+a1:2011 and there is a schedule in place with SCCS for the upkeep of our systems.

Our pre-existing BS EN ISO 9001:2015 accreditation serves as the basis for all the work we have done in this area and provides the system for ensuring that we are able to provide the levels of workmanship and traceability to CE accredited material that you may require. Without this accreditation we would not be able to move on with the processing accreditations required for BS EN 1090 supply.
