The Brief

One of our innovative customers approached us to complete over 1080 tonnes of floor beams for a multi storey car park rebuild. Our valued client needed to keep within budget to a tight, quality critical schedule.

The Outcome

We were our client’s preferred choice, having the capabilities to complete in house all the processing of the floor beams comprising of notches, web access holes, camber and fabrication including the studding We were working on various sized free issue beams that consisted of: 457 x 191 x 67, 533 x 210 x 101, 533 x 210 x 122 and 533 x 312 x 182.

SC4 supplied all fittings profiled and drilled with full tracebility. We processed beams including access holes and notches on our saw/drill lines and coping robot, we then cambered each floor beam to the required mm, fabricated the beams to the required specifications and applied the studs. Each process being thoroughly quality checked before moving on to the next process, and final quality checks by our in house inspectors before leaving for the galvanisers. Saving our client valuable time and transporation costs.
